The Museum Of Regenerative Art is what would be created if MOMA was born today. Ortega y Gasset famously said that we are Ourselves, but also our Circumstances, and the same rings true for art. It’s always an expression of its time and its always political.

We expect to be able to feature incredible pieces throughout the decade that would define a new generation of artists and have a collective impact in the role of art. Art has the potential to change history and it’s our role as artists to expand a message of restoration and regeneration.

Apathy is a luxury for a less urgent time.

MORA is a spatial web art museum build in a new platform called New Art City. It allows you to navigate through your browser in a 3D immersive space where you can watch awesome art from the (r)Evolutionary members of the Design Science Studio.

The spatial web technology is built with 3D assets and a live 3D engine, very much like video-games, so you can walk around and explore with your avatar, and even talk to other people in the space.

WHAT IS MORA/NEW ART CITY?

Cohera and Autopoesis are the two rooms we created for this particular art exhibition. Think about them like parts of a real Museum, dedicated to specific themes or exhibition.

Rooms will change over time and evolve with different art and subjects. Don’t expect anything to stay here for too long. Enjoy everything that it has to offer and come back often for new things!

WHAT ARE COHERA AND AUTOPOESIS?

A browser, preferably with Chrome. Not all computers will be able to handle the amount of processing power spatial web technologies like this demand. We apologize if your computer is one of them. These are experimental platforms and we believe is worth creating in them even if they are not 100% inclusive. We work towards a world in which they will. In the meantime, if you are having problems, we recommend borrowing a friend’s more powerful computer and organizing a visit-to-the-museum party ;)

WHAT DO I NEED TO ENTER THE MUSEUM?

Unfortunately these spatial web technologies and platforms don’t allow access from a phone at this time.

CAN I ENTER THROUGH MY PHONE?

All kinds of regenerative art! What is regenerative art you might ask… it’s a good question. We are discovering it too. It’s a new thing. And we are here to define it through the decade, but if we needed to take a shot at it, we would say that is art that carries a message. What kind of message? Well, we like to say that regeneration is GIVING MORE THAN YOU TAKE. It’s encouraging people to think how to restore the ecosystems they exhaust, making them better than they found them. And this applies to everything: from companies to relationships to governments to art.

So that’s what we are committed to. To discover and feature incredible artists who are willing to use their powerful tools to change the course of our planet to a more regenerative one that works for all life. No biggie.

That said, we believe in having fun while we do it, so please join the show, immerse in the art and pARTicipate ;)
